Shore Run/Walk: Heidi Hates Cancer

What's there to say that isn't obvious? Cancer continues to deliver heartbreaking life-or-death challenges to family, friends and co-workers. Over the years, I've had the great fortune to walk alongside wonderful, warm, witty people who were taken from life too early; showing my support by asking for yours is easy compared to the struggles they've both overcome and succumbed to. Walking this beautiful and invigorating 5k course is a reminder that we do not forget those who have impacted our lives, but we should continue to take small steps to provide the funding that could lead to greater comfort and a possible clean bill of health for someone else's struggle in the future.
